INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT
I recently was enlightened about the power of our words and the way we say or use them. My father used the word “boy” as a way to degrade and humiliate me. He would say, “Listen boy, you are not smarter than me or wiser than me or stronger than me!” He used the word to remind me that I was inferior to him and that I could never reach his level or to be even an equal. I recently heard a different story about a father who also called his son, “boy”. A friend of mine had recently lost his father due to the Covid-19 and as he was telling me about how his father kissed him on the hand as he left, not knowing that his father was giving him the virus that would also keep the son bed-ridden for two weeks, but it also took the life of his father at the age of 98. But every week when the son would go and see his aged father to clean his home or bring something to eat, he was always greeted with the phrase, “How’s my boy?” Those tender words would be forever missed now that his father was gone. The power of those words were never lost to the son, because the son was adopted after he was two years old. The acknowledgment of belonging was so important in such a casual and consistent greeting. The son will now cherish that phrase until he sees his father again at the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Did you know that there is another adoption where we are considered not just sons and daughters but also heirs to something far greater than earthly treasures? The adoption that I am talking about is the redemption that was secured at the Cross, when Jesus took the death that we deserve and gave to us the life that He deserved. That sacrifice forever sealed the adoption/redemption that the Father extends to each of His creations, all men and women! And this adoption is for each person that accepts the atonement, “at one meant” that unifies, unites, satisfies the longing, gives security, intimacy, and cleansing that was promised to those that recognize their state as an orphan in a lost world.
Ephesians 1:5, “He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will.”
SPECIAL MESSAGE
Q&A
Question: What are the limitations the church faces currently in ministering to struggling people?
Reply: The church today is limited in its effectiveness in that it tends to either condemn the homosexual, thus turning him away, or else it embraces the practicing homosexual, not believing that he can be restored, reconditioned, and re-created into the image of God. Unconditional love does not result in indulgence of sin. Unconditional love accepts the sinner without condoning the sin.
The following two texts of Scripture tell the church that sinners can be given power to become the sons of God. And through that power, they can be overcomers. Homosexuality can be overcome.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12)
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” (Revelation 21:7)

TESTIMONY
“A relative reached out to me and asked if it would be possible to attend the Coming Together Live conference in South Carolina this November. I was delighted to help and thrilled that my family member wanted to attend. There is nothing better than having fellowship with likeminded believers and when it comes to those wanting to leave the life they are living for a Christ centered life there is nothing more important than to receive mentor ship from those who have gone before.
As this family member was already reaching out to Coming Out Ministries for help I noticed there was a deep desire to meet those that had been of help to them in their situation. The time was right and the opportunity was being provided. I was thrilled to say the least.
As Christians we are encouraged to meet together each week to have fellowship with other believers and be encouraged, strengthened, and inspired to keep going on our Christian walk.
How much more is this needed for those who are trying to escape addictive habits that have them in a stronghold. I saw Coming Together Live as a place for this to happen.
I understand that the live part of this conference has been canceled due to lack of funds… I am saddened that a beautiful opportunity for personal help for those who needed it had to be canceled.
Coming Together Live will be presented as a virtual seminar. I am grateful for the opportunity to still have access to it but my prayer will be that the idea of a personal coming together will not be forgotten and that it will still happen someday soon if God be willing. There are those who desperately need fellowship. There are those who don’t reach out that might if they only had the chance to meet in person, and have the opportunity to dialogue and bond with those who can help.
Thank you Coming Out Ministries for continuing to explore ways to be available to all those who are seeking encouragement, support and help to come out into the marvelous light of God’s love.”
